SIG:AR:TYR Releases Two New Demo Songs

Canadian viking/pagan metal act SIG:AR:TYR has posted two new demo songs, "King of the World" and "Under the Mountain", from the forthcoming album "Beyond The North Winds" on the band's MySpace page. A three-track demo is being distributed to record companies to try to garner interest in supporting the new album.

SIG:AR:TYR's last effort, "Sailing the Seas of Fate", released in 2006 via Morbid Winter Records, was a concept album of a Viking-age quest to the far northern reaches of the world to retrieve an object to turn the tide of Christianity.

Commented the band: "The new album is more organic, more based on the mysteries of the earth and nature, in contrast to the snow and ice theme of the previous release. 'King of the World' is about the enduring myths of the mysterious ruler of the world that dwells within the earth in a subterranean kingdom. 'Under the Mountain' runs along a similar theme where the dark, latent powers of an ancient tradition that dwell deep in the earth and deep in our souls, grow in strength in preparation to reveal themselves to the world when the time is right. "

SIG:AR:TYR will continue work on the album over the next several months for a late 2007 release.
